Call for Non-Jonas fans

I just want you all to know this is a sincere fundraiser for the LA City of Hope. Disney is putting on a concert in September (Disney Concert for Hope) to benefit the LA City of Hope. I was really excited to go see the Jonas Brothers & give to a great cause... but the tickets started at $100. I decided to start this fundraising project so fans like myself could still donate to the cause. The birdhouse thing is just something to appeal to the fans & do something fun for Kevin. He's been getting a lot of hate for no reason & I thought it would be nice to show him support during times like these.

Jonas Brothers aside, I would love it if you could contribute. Disney is only donating $1 from every ticket. So even if you send me a dollar, it will be much appreciated. I'm seriously begging you guys. We've talked to the Senior VP of the Disney Music Group plus the event coordinator for the LA City of Hope. They loved the idea & I think they have great expectations when it comes to the donations. I'm asking you to help me out. Even if it's only a dollar, it'll go a long way. Come on. That's cheaper than buying a coke out of a vending machine!

You can either paypal it to ljjung@mminternet.com or mail it to me at:

Or if you see me around an envelope will be nice :] I'll really appreciate it. I mean it.We've been putting hours & hours of work into this, calling people, networking, painting birdhouses. This is a serious project & your donation will go to a great cause!

Thanks so much,
the Birdhouse team

About the LA City of Hope

Many may be wondering what the City of Hope is and why the Jonas Brothers, as well as their fans are supporting it. Here is a little about the organization taken strait from the City of Hope Website:

"City of Hope is an independent biomedical research, treatment and education center dedicated to preventing and curing cancer and other life-threatening diseases. We are one of only 40 National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers nationwide and a founding member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network."

"For nearly 100 years, City of Hope’s pioneering research has brought the world closer to cures for many life-threatening diseases, from cancer to diabetes. Compassion drives our innovation. Every discovery we make and new treatment we develop gives patients the chance to live longer, better and more fully. As an independent medical and research institution, we can break through the barriers that traditionally stand between scientists and physicians, accelerating the application of laboratory findings to more effective treatments. We work with urgency because time matters. Patients with cancer need better options today, not next week or next year. We are proud of our numerous institutional distinctions – from being one of the few National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the country to our leadership role in setting standards for cancer care nationwide – as we remain true to our overriding mission to heal the whole person. That means nurturing the emotional, spiritual, social, as well as physical well-being of those in our care. Our patient-centered philosophy guides everything we do. It is why our researchers are relentless in their advance of science, why our physicians bring promising therapies to patients as quickly as possible and why our students immerse themselves in ways to redefine medicine. For many people, City of Hope is where hope begins."

Contact with the LA City of Hope

I'm really excited because today we got in touch with the event coordinator from the LA City of Hope charity :D She was totally thrilled by the idea, so we have their support. Our next step is to contact Disney, but we're on our way! I just wanted to let you guys know, so you realize this has so much potential to be big! Every contribution will be appreciated and every birdhouse will surely be loved, so please participate

Thanks,

OPERATION BIRDHOUSE

Has anyone besides me ever wondered if Kevin's gotten many birdhouses since Camp Rock came out?

Well we made one for him... and figured that a bunch of other fans would want to as well!

Because the Disney Concert for Hope tickets are so expensive, we decided to donate our money another way. Only $1 from each ticket is being donated, so why not just donate $1+ without having to spend $300 on a concert ticket?

Now's your chance to support the Jonas Brothers' cause AND send Kevin a birdhouse!

Operation Birdhouse is a fan based project to send Kevin a bunch of birdhouses & donations. I'll be collecting donations through paypal (ljjung@mminternet.com) & in the mail (cash, check, money order).

You can send your birdhouses to me too!

I must receive your donations & birdhouses by September 10! I will then tally up the amount & write a check to the charity.

For those of you local fans, I'm setting up a "station" in the VIP parking lot of Universal Studios so you can drop off your birdhouses & donations before the concert.

If you have any questions you can message me here on facebook or email me at pleasebemine@rocketmail.com

Here's my home address where you can send your stuff:

Thanks,
